Temp Job

Ok I have a temp job for the rest of the week. Good and bad. Good is it is money. Bad is it is only $8 an hour. Way less than I am used to making. But it is better than no money sitting at home so I do what I have to do.

For my friends on IM that means I will not be online during the day — I should get home around 5:15 EST. SO we can get caught at that time.

I guess my goal of getting the floors swept and washed will have to wait until I come home.

My sister is coming over to do her laundry after school and we are having supper together. I was going to try my hand at salmon with lemon butter cream sauce. Sounded good yesterday but tummy is a little queasy this morning. Hopefully this will pass by mid morning.

So what am I going to be doing at this temp job you may ask — scanning documents. It must be OCR because who would want their docs saved as a jpg or tiff?? Well I guess they hit the bottom of the barrel to actually call me. I have a strange feeling that even though they say I am on the Hot list it really means “dead” list. There has to be more jobs than once every two weeks. How would this temp company stay in business?? Frustrated Frustrated Frustrated.

So I will make how much for the four days? lets see 8×4=32x$8=256-20%(taxes)=204.80 take home. Well it is better than nothing. Thank Heaven Florida does NOT have a state income tax.

I better get moving – I have to leave in half an hour and I need some breakfast before I go and it will take me half an hour to get there….

my preggo sis REFUSES to even think about salmon. she finds out today what she’s having. woo!

I can’t stand sea food since I’ve been pregnant. I love watching the food network, but lately Emeril’s been making a lot of sea food dishes and it’s making me sick! I’ll talk to you when you get home, for sure… last night went REALLY badly.

What a lot of people up here do is join several temp firms so that if they can’t get a job with one maybe one of the others will have one. Blessings I hope the scanning goes well. Take care.

You’re not on favorites only are you? I’d be careful, because now that one diary that we all thought might be mirroring me, is 11 weeks pregnant and due 4 days before you are. Just a little strange, I thought. Just letting you know, in case you want to keep on eye on her too.

Yay you! I’m not in today anyway, off to get tested and stuff xxx

Fish sounds so yucky to me. I don’t like it that much anyway but it sounds so gross now that I’m pregnant. Have fun at your job! Dakota Parks, super-scanner extraordinaire! Hmm… Florida doesn’t have state income tax? *starts packing bags* I guess ours isn’t that bad here… not compared to federal.

I had salmon tonight with lemon butter. I have terrible heartburn but I think it was the potluck lunch. (burp)
