Have to get on my soapbox

Reading in a friend’s diary someone left a note about how they wish all of us pregnant women would just quit writing about it.

I have to say that if they are that upset about it just don’t read us. This is what is happening to us RIGHT NOW. This is our lives. We are bringing new life into this world. It is a miracle. It is wonderful.

We are working though new feelings and emotions, learning to deal with the changes our bodies are going through. It is not easy to have a sudden change in your chemical balance.

This is a place for us to share our feelings, hopes, thoughts, and desires. Just as it is for those who write about what they did on Saturday night or those who wish to write about the government, weather it is to praise it or complain about it.

My diary will not be solely about my pregnancy, but you can bet that it will have a lot about it since this is now a major part of my life.

Everything about my life is going to change. It has already changed. I am no longer just me. It is no longer just me and DH. It is me and the baby and DH. I have so many emotions happening at the same time. So many physical feelings going on as well.

This pregnancy for me is going to be more difficult because I also have Fibromyalgia and some other ailments from a car accident in 2000 (like a torn disk at L5)and I have had to stop all my meds. (My back is Killing me now and I cannot take a lortab.) I have to write about this. I need to write about this. This is my life.

So to those who do not like the fact that we pregnant women write about our pregnancies – please do not read us.

DO NOT MESS WITH A PREGNANT WOMAN – HER HORMONES ARE MESSED UP ENOUGH AND SHE JUST MIGHT RIP YOU A NEW ONE. LOL (It is a joke- I never ripped anyone a new one in my life)

Ok stepping off my soapbox now. 🙂

Hi, I hit random and got to you… glad I did. I’ve noticed a lot of pregnant women writing lately… I think it’s GREAT! It is what’s going on and it is a miracle and I think we all benefit from hearing about it… so keep writing! And Congratulations!!!!!

My pregnancy was all I wrote about when I was pregnant with Connor. Whoever wrote that has no clue how important it is to be able to get certain feelings out. If they don’t like it, they can just leave!

What kind of idiot tells you what you can and can’t write about in your own diary?? Sheesh xxx

What AngelBunny said. Your diary, your topics, your rules; and if someone doesn’t like it, they don’t have to read it. That’s that. My best to you and AngelBunny and your DHs.

How rude is that! I love reading about pregnant women.

I’m 34 and found out just over 2 weeks ago that I’m pregnant (I’ll be 7 weeks tomorrow). I’m sad to say it’s about all I write about these days. You’re right though, it is what’s going on in our lives. Congrats! 🙂
