One in the oven [edited]

Yep. It is true. For real. Not foolin.

I had my suspicions the other day.

“Honey, when did you leave for Hawaii?” I asked.

“August 10th, why?” he responded.

“Because I had my little visitor the day after you left and I have not had one since”

That was Saturday, September 13th. I should have had it on the 8th. I am NEVER LATE. Early maybe but not late.

“If my little visitor does not arrive by Tuesday, I am getting a test,” I tell him.

Well yesterday I could not wait. I ran to Winn-Dixie after supper and got a two pack test.

Took the test and sure enough there were two pink lines. One line was very pale so I decided to take the test again in the morning.

4 am this morning I did the second test. Why 4? Well I had to pee really bad and thought might as well. Well – the two pink lines were there still and the one that had been very light was darker. SO I decided to see the primary care physician. He confirmed it.

Using one of those online pregnancy calculateors I figured out that I am 5 weeks – but three weeks out from conception. Funny how they calculate where you are in your pregnancy. They say I am five weeks because that was the first day of my last period.

Well my first appointment at the OBGYN will be October 8 at 6pm. I am meeting with a nurse practitioner to go over basics. Since I do not have insurance at this time my first visit with the doctor is going to be $200!

Sigh. More soon – already the pee thing is happening.

-The Added Part!- Yes this is good news! It was unexpected but not unwanted. We put the pregancy thing in God’s hands a long time ago. I have been off birth control for over 2 years because they messed my hormones up so bad I had horrid mood swings and DH could hardly stand living with me! So this will be an adjustment, but we are both happy about it!
