A major decision
Dear Diary,
I haven’t felt like writing much lately. My life has been pretty busy and I come home from work and just chill.
I’ve made some decisions lately and am working towards following through with them. First of all my neighbor downstairs moved out and this weirdo moved in. He has 4 yr old twin boys who are here half a month. They are 4 but 4 yr. olds are loud and do not understand quiet. I asked the management to let me out of my lease so I can move but instead they told me that he violated the housing code and he has to leave. Well it looks like he has no intention on moving so either I move or have to put up with the loud children. I moved here because they told me that they rarely if ever rent to children back here because they are one bedroom apts. Well they sent this guy a letter and he came pounding on my door yelling and screaming at me telling me that I am having him thrown out. Interesting that he doesn’t take the responsibility for lying on his lease application. I told him it was between him and the management and to leave my door.
He left screaming and yelling. No wonder he is getting divorced. Well a week later I got a call from the class I was in to report to the office. The vice principal came to get me and told me the she and the principal needed to speak to me. When I got to their office they told me that my neighbor called. I was perplexed as to what neighbor. They told me that he didn’t leave his name but she knew because I told the vp when it first happened so she had a heads up. She told me it was him and he was making an attempt to have me fired. He told them that I was mean and shouldn’t be around children. He also told her that he was going to the paper. I rolled my eyes and asked her if she knew how he got my name and where I worked. That creeped me out. She didn’t know. They were concerned about my safety and asked me if I would be ok. I told her that I hoped so. She had me speak to the board attorney and he said he would take care of any phone call that came to the office about this incident. He told me that I could sue for harrassment if he keeps it up. I found out his name and gave it to them and he will not be allowed in or near our school.
After school I drove to the police station and filed a police report. They told me that if he comes near me to call 911.
A week after this incident I was shopping at a health food store a few towns away after school one Monday and when I was looking in the frozen food section, I turned around and he was standing right behind me. I couldn’t believe it. I paid for my things and phoned the police again and they put it in the report. Strange guy.
I have people looking out for me and I carry my phone with me at all times.
I have also made the decision to retire after next year. I have been going up to the peace weavers and after this past weekend I decided it was time to go. I drove up to the peaceweavers this past Friday and stayed until Sunday. I spoke to GL about this and I am moving up there. I will live and work for them.
This is a photo from this past weekend.
I think it’s time for me to do something else. I will finish out this year and next and will most likely move up there that summer. Kind of a scary thing but I can picture myself doing it. The land is so beautiful and it is very quiet up there. I want to do something productive with my senior years.
Well school is going very well. One of the kindergarten teachers and I are doing a school wide project by having all the children in the entire school put their hand prints as a border around the entire building. It is taking a lot of time but it looks really cute. We chose red, blue, yellow and green permanent paint. We had to get permission slips from all the kids before we could have them participate due to possible latex allergies. All but about 5 kids are participating. It looks really cute so far.
I plan on doing one mural with the kids helping as a going away gift to the school. Weird as I think about how long I have been at that same school. Next year will be my 25th year. I yi yi. How time flies.
My mom is doing very well. I took her up to the peaceweavers a month ago for their Autmum Harvest and she had a great time.
This is me, mom and C. one of the Peaceweavers for the Autumn Harvest.
Peace,
LYB

Your neighbor sounds dangerous, but sounds like you are on top of the situation. I like your retirement plans and you have plenty of time to get things in place. I think you’ll like it there. Your son, I’m sorry. I hope he realizes he needs to have contact with you no matter what the dil says.
