Month Two Weigh-In and Measurements
On the 26th, I had my two month weigh-in and measuring done at Curves. I’ll post pictures at the end.
Here are the numbers:
5/26/2010
Weight – 264 1/4 pounds (271 last month) = 6 3/4 pounds lost
Bust – 40.5 inches (41 last month) = 1/2 inch lost
Waist – 43.5 inches (43.75 last month) = 1/4 inch lost
Abdomen – 55 inches (55.5 last month) = 1/2 inch lost
Hips – 55.25 inches (58 last month) = 2 3/4 inches lost
Thigh – 30.25 inches (31.25 last month) = 1 inch lost
Arm – 15 inches (15.5 last month) = 1/2 inch lost
Body Fat Percentage – 44.6 (45.8 last month) = 1.2% loss
BMI – 41.69 (42.76 last month) = 1.07 loss
According to my weight and measurement report, I lost 6.26 pounds of body fat (of the 6.75 pounds I lost) and 7 inches (arm/thigh numbers are doubled).
My 2 month total weight loss is 20 1/2 pounds (15.98 is body fat pounds). And I’ve lost 17 total inches off my body. My body fat percentage is down 2.4%, and my BMI is down 3.23
And earlier this week Renee, the owner, asked what the biggest impact Curves has had on my life in the last 2 months. So, I told her. She liked my answer so much that she wants me to type it up for the June newsletter. *huge smile*
Basically, what I want to do, beside get healthy for me and my family is serve as an inspiration to others. To show others that there is hope. That you CAN lose weight if you just apply yourself 100%. Anything less just will not cut it. I want to show people that if THIS fatty can do this, ANYONE can. Two months in, and I’m still going strong. A friend of mine told me that she used my story as an example for a class she’s in. So I’m already achieving that part of my goal.
I want to inspire people here too. And people in the real world. Never give up on yourself. If you fall off the wagon, just get back on. Keep trying. And take a lesson from my play book… don’t expect instant gratification. It’s a slow process. It’s hard work. But you’re worth it. A number on the scale is only a small sliver of the whole picture that weight loss is. There’s so much more to it. And if you want it bad enough, you can do it. If I can, anyone can. Learn that you need to love yourself enough to make the necessary changes, and it’ll happen for you.

That is fantastic. I am so proud of you and happy for you. I have only had to lose 30 lbs a few different times but I know how hard it is and that it is a lot of work and takes dedication. I have always said if you want it bad enough you can do it. I think I have even told you that a few times. Anyone can do it if they work hard enough. Keep up the good work. I can really see a difference, I know that is a great feeling for you.
