Firefly and Hercules and Buffy, OH MY

DragonCon – Atlanta, GA – September 2-5.  4 hour drive from my house.  Adam Baldwin is scheduled to be there.  Guess where I will be?  Hanging around the Hyatt and Mariott desperately seeking Adam Baldwin.  Oh yesh.  And Nathan Fillion as well.  And my sister will be desperately seeking the Weasley twins.  It is decided.  I must go.  I MUST GO.  *squirrels away $85*

Weekend was a slow one but I did get to see Batman Begins.  Wow.  I thoroughly enjoyed that movie (with the exception of Katie Holmes… I just don’t like the poop of Angels… no matter how hard I try.) But Christian Bale?  Utterly fabulous.  Morgan Freeman?  Gary Oldman?  Liam Neeson?  Michael Caine?  Oh I’m in movie heaven.  *sigh*  I’d go see it again but I am not free any this week and next week my family’s out of town so I’ll be babysitting the dogs (anyone want to come house sit with me?  I hate being at home in that big house all alone) – on the plus side – I’ll be on more often at night so I’ll possibly be able to play catch up with some of you!

I’m very disappointed in my Young Adult program for the library.  We’ve had three programs so far and our highest attendance has been 9 kids.  Last week – our Karaoke night that I spent oodles of money preparing for – THREE kids showed up.  Only ONE actually sang.  =o  I was not happy.  I think we probably will not continue it next year.  It all depends on how our attendance is for the next three programs in July.  (Our Chocolate Festival, Harry Potter night, and Lemony Snicket program are the last three… I’m hoping we’ll have a few more than normal.)

*yawn*  Ready to go home.
