Problem solved

Thanks to everyone who offered advice yesterday. I think that I’ve solved the problem with help from my friends. Jodie and Heidi’s husbands both agreed with the majority of you: bringing them along would just make DW feel awkward. Instead they’re going to come along 15, 20 minutes after I get there and have dinner in another part of the restaurant. That way if things get desperate I can always seek them out.

Also? Heidi and Jodie get a date out of it. They’re both very happy about that.

So, problem solved and I’m not nearly as nervous today as I was yesterday.
