On Secret Lives

An article from MSNBC about people leading secret double lives. Interesting read that makes one look outward and inward. Who do you know (besides me!) who lives 2 lives? Or is it you? If it is you, would you tell your story?

The only fact so far that I dont totally agree with is the negative impact, because I believe you can live your life as long as you keep it compartmentalised. The other side of my coin is that at rare times, I wont how long I can keep it up before anything damaging could occur to myself or those around me. Read on, and post thoughts about it!

Very interesting & very true. Something to ponder.

“compartmentalised”: my word of the day. LOL Now, what’s it mean? LOL j/k

We all have our secrets, don’t we? Compartmentalization is a curse and a blessing.

Why anybody would want to tell a journalist about their secret life is beyond me?!

You know I do. Maybe you don’t know that I believe I have paid a negative price after many years. At some point my guess is you will feel the price too. I dont mean that in a bad way. I just think there is no escaping it. Just like the saying ‘affairs end.’ They do.

I used to date a married woman, for a few years in fact. She had two lives; her real one and the one I thought we had. Still don’t quite understand how she did it though at the time (and in a way still) I was very grateful for it. Compartmentalized is the word she always used. Funny, the things of which we are capable when sometimes we are willing to go there. Love,
