Ah, here I am!

Well, there’s been a lot going on in my life. First off, I was fired on June 28th with no warning or provocation. Not much I could do about it, since Oregon is an at-will state. They did not fight me on unemployment thankfully, and even paid me the full two weeks since I got canned in the middle of a pay period. Still job hunting, but also taking time to enjoy the little things while I can.

Starting to get the things I need to spin my own yarn. The wheel Andrew’s mom got me for Christmas is handmade, but not functional unfortunately. It’s too wobbly to get a good spin going, so she got me what I believe is likely a Ladybug from the description, as well as a couple extra bobbins and such. I also have my ball winder, and just got a wooden swift off of ebay for $45 which should be here soon. I’m also starting to come up with my own patterns for knitted things.

Andrew and I are doing much better than even this time last year, but he’s still having a lot of issues surrounding an old friend of his (think back to my entries in late November). A few people have told him to let go and move on, but that process is easier said than done, and you cannot force something to happen if it’s not meant. The more you force something, the less likely it is to happen. There is a difference between forcing something and taking steps to make it a reality. Either it will happen or it won’t. However, the physical side effects of depression are serious enough that we’re going to get him a referral to a psychiatrist soon. He’s got a counselor, but it’s not enough right now and he knows it. For those of you who also see me on facebook, please don’t mention this there. Our families really don’t need to know about this right now.

That is my life in a nutshell right now, I’ll tell more later!

Thanks 😀 What’s IUD? And yeah, I was thinking about the shot since it’s only once every three months and there’s less than 1% chance of getting pregnant lol but I’m open to other suggestions

RYN: I wish I could do that, but I don’t have internet connection on my Wii 🙁 I’m sorry about your job! That’s dumb how there was no warning or anything :/

RYN: Oh I didn’t know that! Later today I will probably try to get it set up. Thanks for letting me know 🙂 If it works for me then I will let you know and we can play Animal Crossing! haha

Ryn: How funny that you picked up on the Winco brand! The last time was the first time we had gone there in years (Walmart is closer to our house), and our cashier was a little bitchy. Lol. And thanks for the links!

Ryn: Haha. If we had a Fred Meyer here I would probably shop there regularly. It’s one of my favorite things about Washington. But, how funny that Wincos generally attract the same crowd. That’s why we tend to avoid ours. And chicken adobo! My favorite Filipino recipe ever. Especially when my grandma makes it.
