This entry is likely to contain much profanity right now as I am extremely frustrated. Just be warned.

Let me start by explaining why I write my more profound thoughts here rather than on facebook, livejournal, and the like. I have more freedom of speech here than anywhere else on the web. Although facebook has its purpose for helping me stay in touch with friends and family and the occasional game, it is not where I truly feel safe pouring out my heart and soul. Some of you I have met in person (darlingnikki and Jezebel), some of you I feel like I’ve known for years.

So when I am unable for 5 days to come on here and let people know about things going on in my life that I wish to share Really. Pisses. Me. Off. What kind of person must he be in real life for the DiaryMaster to allow this to happen? This is not the first or even the second time that he has allowed this to happen, so spare me any comments about how it just slipped his mind. If he can generate enough computer code to let people know there’s an issue with the site, then he can damn well take the time to do a mass generated email to let us all know the site is temporarily fucked. I’m not mad that the site was down, just pissed that he was incompetent enough to not bother telling us.

The true definition of customer service is meeting the needs of your customers while meeting the needs of your company. Leaving us hanging with little to no word, except for the bit message and the occasional facebook post DOES NOT constitute meeting the needs of your customers. Sure, you may have needed to take the site offline, but would it really have cost you that much to get off your lazy fucking ass and tell us what’s going on instead of treating all of us like recalcitrant children?

We deserve better than this. No, I am not going to leave the site over it, but I am damn sure going to be a lot more vocal about how I feel when things go good OR bad. Praise is needed too. However, if life is interfering with your ability to run the site in a manner that benefits ALL of us, both customers and people running the site, then it’s time to pass the reins. Leslie had it right on that. So let me put it more succintly. Either do the job right or get the hell out of the way so someone one else can!

I have both sites. I love here – but I no longer have faith in it’s stability.
