Bad things, good things.
I know it’s been a while since I’ve written, bad me. Life has been a bit hectic the last few weeks. Things have had their good times and their bad times.
For example. Andrew’s job shorted him nearly $300 on his paycheck he picked up on the 25th. When he reported it on the 27th (his next day he worked) local HR told him they would add it to the paycheck he receives on the 10th. He finally reported them to corporate for that issue and a separate one that has been a problem for some time. So the next day they told him a check is in the mail.
Yesterday the check should have been there and it wasn’t, so I had to be the one to tell the landlords rent might not be in full, which I was NOT happy about. The good thing is that Jesse will be fronting me the remaining $250 needed (which the missing check can more than cover) until the money shows up, and Andrew emailed BOLI on the situation last night.
I found out Sunday night the critters have fleas, the good thing is that I found the flea meds and was able to dose them last night.
I didn’t get to sleep until 6:00 this morning due to slight insomnia and I’m already awake, but I was one of 150 people selected for Tasting Tuesday at Burgerville, so I have that to look forward to as soon as I’m dressed.
Last, which this is entirely good, Andrew and I got to meet darlingnikki yesterday as she was in town visiting her sister. That was an absolute blast! We met at a coffee shop in SE Portland called The Flying Cat (I’ll definitely go back there when I’m in the area) and talked for quite some time. We talked about how Andrew; myself; and Jesse make things work for our relationship, and talked also about how her; Fourth; and J met as well. It really was awesome. I sent her home with a blanket I’d crocheted in an 8-point spiderweb design out of purple yarn for their daughter Bea. I also sent her home with some Kitty Hooch mice I had tucked away from my cats (I look forward to seeing pictures of stoned kitties, btw), here’s hoping that their dogs do not eat them.
Stoned cats?

I’m so glad you got to meet darlingnikki! Isn’t she just a sweetheart? RYN: Yes ma’am…some days, finding the good is very difficult. I think the thing that counts is that we keep trying. *hugs*
