I am very happy that Andrew is home now. Last night was the first night in over a week that I’ve slept restfully, despite being able to spend some time at Jesse’s so I didn’t completely lose it. Life in general is good right now. All of our pets are also thrilled that he’s home as well, especially Small and Sally (they are daddy’s kitties).

On a work front, I ended the assignment I was on through my temp agency. My OFLA claim was denied, and workman’s comp told me that even if they approved my claim, that the ‘attendance points’ ball was in Randstad’s court again which for me meant release from assignment anyway. I felt it was better for me emotionally to leave on my own two feet while my QA and other statistics were still excellent rather than stress out and have them drop.

Last of all, Happy Mother’s Day to any of you out there who have children (four-footed or human). If you remember anything about Mother’s Day, remember this: just because a woman may have lost a child, does not make her any less of a mother. I think back to how things went for me when I lost my baby (I know in the deepest recesses of my heart it would have been a daughter), and the fact that if the pregnancy would have went well I would have a nearly 10 year old daughter at my side now.
