Christmas Party Questions & Baby Update!! *pic

Ok, baby update first :

Ultrasound showed he was head down today! The little stinker! I don’t know when he did it – I figured I’d feel it! I still thought he was breech, but I guess the hard think I was feeling was his butt!! LOL I’m horrible at telling.

So that is a HUGE relief.
I hope he stays that way!

<– Got more pictures & watching him smile! ðŸ™‚

Kendall stayed home again today, her fever was gone this morning, but I figured it would be safer if I just kept her home today & she could rest & recoup.  She stayed home while I went to the doctor, Jason was sleeping but home. She called me like 3 times while I was with the doctors and just left messages like "I just checked my fever and it’s 98.1 now" "Um mom, are you on your way home yet?"  LOL.

I had to stop & talk to the insurance lady after my appt to get some sorta idea what my new insurance (which is pretty much the same as my last but through a different provider) would cover.  Estimating my out of pocket cost to be around $3000 included my dr & the hospital fees.   Of course a lot of that is my deductable, which I would of met with my old insurance but since I’ve switched as started all over again GRR.
Damn having a kid is expensive.  I liked it better when I was on State Aid and never saw a single bill or had to worry about payments!! ðŸ™‚  But oh well, I’m calling the billing lady tomorrow and setting up like $50 a week payments starting next week, as I just wrote them a check for $100 today.

Kendall is currently at Girl Scouts and I’m trying to get my last minute Christmas shopping list ready for tomorrow. I plan on tackling everythign that is left tomorrow morning. Jason was supposed to come with  — but as I knew he would, he’s backed out.  — He thinks he’ll be too tired after work to get up that early & then work tomorrow night. Which I can understand, but if it were something he really wanted to do he’d suck it up!  Honestly I’d rather shop without him bugging me anyway, but I wanted him to help with the BOW we still have to pick out & get Ev.  He said we can do that Sat.  Which yea we can – but then the kids are with us… duh!  Oh well, maybe I’ll let him go do that alone Sat.

I’m also trying to figure out Christmas treats for the kids parties. We’re supposed to bring a treat for Evan’s Christmas party, I like simple– like store bought cupcakes — but I’m doing that for his Birthday treat which is probably going the day before the party.  I’ll package them up like this – so they can take them home if they want:

I was pinning ideas for the treat.

I really want to do Reindeer Poop!
reindeer poop  reindeer poop gift tags

{I’m thinking with Bridge Mix, although Evan suggested LINDOR chocolates — yea not happening}

I asked Evan and he was indifferent.  This is ok for 5th grade right?  There aren’t any ridiculous teachers out there that might be offended by this right?? I love it. And I epecially thing a bunch of 10/11year olds would like this poem:

I woke up with such a scare when I heard Santa call…
"Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!"
I ran to the lawn, and in the snowy white drifts,
those nasty reindeer had left "little gifts".

I got an old shovel and started to scoop
Neat little piles of "reindeer poop."
but to throw them away seemed such a waste,
So I saved them, thinking you might like a taste!

As I finished my task, which took quite a while,
Old Santa passed by and he sheepishly smiled.
And I heard him exclaim as he rose to the sky~~~
"Well, they’re not potty trained, but at least they can fly!"

I don’t have to bring anything for Kendall’s class {we’re signed up for Valentine’s Day} but she has a Tumbling

{and I keep getting asked this: Tumbling is Gymnastics – only they just do mat work & trampolines — so technically they’re not "gymnastics" , just "tumbling" LOL :)}

We’re supposed to bring a treat to pass around, they’re providing pizza and cookies…
So I figure a variety of candy canes would be nice (since we’re not staying the whole time, and kids will be coming and going all night, I could just put them in something like this:

handprint and footprint arts & crafts: handprint reindeer candy cane treat holder

Which a little note, like: Merry Chirstmas from Kendall!

Good news about the baby!! I think the reindeer poop is fine (as a 5th grade teacher) but if you have any reservation about it, I’d say pick something else : / Just in case… you never know what some other parents might think!

You could always send a note with the “poem” you wanted and the poem Noter #1 left and see which the teacher approves of?
