Work related entry.

So, I’ve figured out that I don’t like jobs where I am in a room for 6 hours a day watching kids do work, so I guess no teaching for me. The job isn’t so bad, I do nothing really for 20 some-odd hours a week, and I get paid. But I don’t want to do nothing for 20 hours a week, I want to be productive. I’m helping children (and some adults), so that’s something good, But…why doesn’t it mean anything anymore?

It sounds like you’ve settled into teaching and now it’s the “same old same old” like any job. It’s in essence the same thing every day. I think that’s most people’s problem with thier job (if they know it or not) – the same thing every day, no matter what it is, is still the same thing every day

Doing nothing gets really boring. And doing the same thing all the time gets boring too.

You couldn’t PAY me to sit in a room full of kids for 6-8 hours a day. I’d be the crazy woman walking the halls mumbling something about “i gotta get out of here…”. Something like that.
