Sun.

Tonight I was watching a segment on “The Colbert Report” where he was interviewing the author of “Misquoting Jesus”.

He asked the author if he believed in God, the author said he didn’t know, and Colbert says, “So you’re an agnostic?” And the author, bewildered, answers, “Yes.” And Colbert says “Isn’t that like an atheist, but without balls?”

That’s awesome.

The author was talking about how we can’t verify Jesus said any of the things the gospels claim, and some of his quotes are missing from earlier copies (apparently the “let he who is without sin” quote), so after the show was over, I was just sort of thinking about it.

And suddenly I felt God for the first time in probably 3 or 4 days. It only lasted a second, but I immediately knew

truth.

Right now I have to work on myself, and focus on myself, and I don’t really like it, and writing in here is a part of it. (I bet if I served others, though, some things would change inside me.)

God broke through this cloud of depression that surrounds my soul; I’m glad, I rejoice. I’m just too tired to use exclamation points right now. Maybe I’ll jump around tomorrow.

*random noter* …i have to disagree that what you felt was god. what you felt, was a change inside yourself. you felt yourself get smarter. you felt yourself actually think like jesus. there is no black or white, heaven or hell. you create them inside yourself with your own mind, with how you live your life. all the bible wants us to do is live like jesus did. know not to hurt anything….

….better yet, to know from the beginning that we do not have to hurt anything to get what we need. the american government has passed the bible through so many hands, so many poeple have added onto it, that it is nothing but a story anymore. the only one single part of that book you need, is the very first page. live from that. i do. and let me tell you, i am in heaven. i know this is heaven.

Stick with God 🙂

Nice. I like it. Sorry I havn’t been on here for awhile. I’ll try to get better at it. Sorry, Jon.

No offense to the first noter, but that isn’t all you need. If you know nothing else, know that we have burned the bridge between man and God. There is no way that we can justify our actions, our sins against Him; but the thing is, we don’t have to. Jesus bore our sins for us, and bridged that gap that man created. I’m not discouraging reading the Bible or seeking to know God more, but if you know

nothing else but Jesus Christ, and Him crucified, you are saved from the wrath of God.
