Sunday Assessment for 8-28-11
Sunday assessments were really useful for me since New Year’s. Really let me acknowledge things about myself. It also let me write down things that I WANTED to, but might forget if I didn’t write them down. Summer, it wasn’t all that useful. Summer is a time to relax and not worry about the week-to-week. Moreover, it was really becoming same shit, different week. Kind of depressed me. If it’s useful, I’ll keep doing it. If it isn’t, I’ll do it less often.
- Agenda:
- Sunday: Be like a boss during the post-Irene flooding. Play D&D if flooding alleviates.
- Monday: Finish reviewing calculus, like a boss. Get books.
- Tuesday: Classes.
- Wednesday: Classes.
- Thursday: Class. Try to make plans for nighttime.
- Friday: Work like a boss.
- Saturday: Work like a boss. Make brownies for someone I know. Or do that Friday.
Wants:
- Get more sleep.
- Socialize 2/3 times.
- Continue to write in journal.
Things I should remember:
- Had an awesome time at the party.
- Having a lot of fun double-boxing.
- Being awesome at work.
- Found time to make up my workouts.
In all seriousness, I can’t drive out of my condo complex. There’s some light flash flooding on the roads out of here. If I had a truck, maybe I’d ford it. But it’s simply not worth it. Clarissa Clutch has low ground clearance! I walked to the store and verified that all equipment is functional and temperatures are where they’re supposed to be. I’ve already called and informed the crew not to come in. Regardless of what the District Manager decides, crew safety is number one.
Also, since the storm hit, my allergies have gotten better. I’m still sneezing, but I don’t feel exhausted.
When I think further, this style of assessment is still very dry. I think an emotional inventory would be incredibly useful. However for me to be truthful and complete, I’d probably be better served doing it privately. Ah ha! Mr. Journal! Now there’s a doable idea.
The river has overflowed as always but not much damage from what I can see. The streets bordering the river have been blocked off so we can’t get down the hill too easily 🙁 Glad you’re ok though!
