Sunday Tuesday Assessment for 11-30-10

Things I want:

  • To stop feeling like … like crap?
  • Spend more time with the girl.
  • Snuggle.
  • Watch lots of campy christmas movies.
  • Spend time editting my nanonovel. IF I FEEL LIKE IT. My brain’s still rather fried, I could feasibly pick it up in January.
  • Read a book. My god, I never thought I’d say that – I usually hate reading.
  • My sleep schedule is out of wack, and I haven’t been to the gym in a week and a half. This must be remedied.

Things I should get my ass moving on:

  • Get the oil in my car changed.
  • Cleaning my room. (I imagine this will be here every week.)

Things that occurred last (two) week(s), regardless of whether wanted or needed.

  • Finished my novel. Regardless of the burn-out, I still feel proud of myself.
  • I’ve had some really awesome wanks recently. I’m becoming reacquainted with my butt plug. : D

Meant to do this last Sunday, but days have been blurring together. I’ve been basically going to work, writing, staying up late playing StarCraft, then getting up and doing it all over again. I hope I get my head straightened out, with NaNoWriMo ending. Today’s technically the last day, but I think I should pat myself on the back for a job well done, rather than stress about “editting” and adding to my “wordcount”. The basic goal has been achieved. If I really want to polish the work, there will be plenty of time to do it. Because while the sort of fade in, focus hard on a specific moment, then face out to another moment is very effective and almost movie-esque, I have a LOT of stuff missing.

I’ve been thinking about what to do next year. I always say I’ll outline, then never do. There’s the option of doing a completely over-the-top The Revenge of the Return of the Attack of the BIGGAYDAN of the Jedi. Candi suggested I write a sequel to something I wrote nearly half a lifetime ago, my affectionately named “Kamikazi Alert” series. It would be the third installment, and naturally far more fleshed out and just as campy as the style I wrote when I was 9 and 13. I have eleven months to think of what I want to do. I went back to a familiar style to boost my ego and get back to form. But as I’ve tried twice and failed, I’d like to try something different.

We’ll see.
