Man, have I been looking forward to this. I openned for another store today, and this was something spectacular to look forward to after the pain the ass I went through. Shift was fine, I just had some issues before open.
It’s nice knowing there’s only a single set I need to really challenge myself on. The last set of the work sets is “As many reps as possible”. Okay, I only got six. But I only needed five. And since I know I can hit 95 for 5 anyway, I’ll be just as pumped for next month.
I’m modeling my accessory work off of the Big But Boring template. And man, 5×10 can be quite boring. Har har. But I never reached failure, and I got a good pump. PUMP. I kill myself.
Take a week off, and my pull-ups go to crap. Goddamn it.
Oh, the gym got rearranged. They put all the freeweights in the small expansion in the back. All the freeweights. Feels cramped. Well-lit, granted. But there’s a blatant but logical progression to the downstairs. Girl machines near the front bleeding into machines men would be more inclined to use. There’s some kettlebells and various personal trainer implements in where the dumbbell room used to be. There’s a second mat for stretching or whathaveyou. And beyond the track is where all the stuff I use is. Go figure. I was going to pair bench with t-bar rows for my accessory, but the t-bar rows are on the OTHER SIDE OF THE GYM. Guess I’ll think of something else.
Next workout is Deadlift Day. Wooooo. I can pull 225 lbs for way more than 5 reps. Looking forward to it, indeed!
My primary character in Everquest 2 is now a Level 40 Bruiser, with Level 30 Alchemy. Ha ha. Kind of want to slow down my leveling now. Though, the girl and I are having a lot of fun together.
Think I’ll head to Erik’s now.
