    Front Squat: 3×5 @ 135 lbs
    Swiss Ball Crunch: 3×18 @ 25 lbs

    Alternating Sets
    DB Shoulder Press: 4×5, 5×4 @ 40 lbs
    Pull-ups: 4×5, 5×4 @ BW

Another really good workout, or so it felt. I’m close to increasing the weight on my bench/row. I’d like to try out 65’s once before the end of August and the YMCA’s annual shutdown.

I matched my front squat performance again, but I’ve come to recognize that I’m just not in the mood to push my legstuff right now. So maintaining with a healthy front squat is just fine with me. It feels good to get good depth and really NAIL a set, rather than feeling like I barely made it. It helps my confidence.

Shoulder Press and pull-up volume is up to 40 reps apiece. It’s getting up there. Once I get 5 in all sets, I’ll drop it back to 8 sets, again for an even 40 reps. I’ll continue to drop a set as I increase the reps, so I don’t overkill myself. I’m smart like that. I’m not good at pull-ups, so it feels good to do a lot of them.

Despite the fact that it’s summer, I hit the sauna after I showered. Afterward, I went back to the showers and put the stream on all-the-way cold. Man, that felt nice.
