Lifting for 7-13-9

Spent Sunday cleaning Candi’s room. Five trash bags later, her room STILL looked like a disaster area. Nonetheless, it DID look a LOT better once we finished. I got to lift heavy things when she needed me to.

So far, Bob’s Discount Furniture looks to have the best deals on mattresses. Occurred to me that I should run past my dad whether he’d want my old bed for anything. I mean, I intend to take my new mattress with me when I eventually move out. Would he want a legacy bed in my room for the heck of it? Bob’s will take away your old mattress for free.

I need to do another skim of my clothes to get rid of. Candi says she knows places to donate them. Must have less stuff!

Oh, and we looked at comforters. I totally will spend the extra money on a really nice king-sized comforter. I don’t need king-sized, nor do I need something fancy and awesome, but dude, it’s totally worth it.

Read an article on improving pull-ups. Got me thinking. I do like doing pull-ups. It’s not a strong point of mine, but I like being able to do them. Moreover, I like my back.

Every squat rack, bench, and bar were taken when I got downstairs. I was going to open with front squats, but it wasn’t an option. I couldn’t even barbell bench. So I improvised.

I just like antagonist pairings. I seem to lift slightly stronger, and I’m able to get more volume in my workouts. And they seem to go faster.

I’m openning for another store tomorrow. I feel nervous, but confident. I’m told their rushes are our downtime. I’m told I’ll be bored out of my mind. I consider it an opportunity to be outside my comfort zone. I’ll be just fine.

From what I’ve read and from my own experience, pull-ups are one of the three kings of exercise, as far as being full-bodied and balancing and maximizing the most muscle involvement and results. 1. Pull-ups 2. Push-ups 3. Squats and/or lunges. That one I can’t remember, I think lunges are the better one if you could only pick one?
