Mmm, upgrades!

Despite the fact that I’m not a hardcore gamer nor do I really play graphically intensive games, I just blew some money on a new video card.

Mmm, newegg. $55 dollars for a new video card? Shit, that’s awesome! I don’t need top of the line. This is three generations better than my current card, which cost $150 in 2004:

Of course, that doesn’t say much of anything anymore. It’s a decent card, runs fine except for some random crashes during Battlefront. GPU runs at 300 Mhz, which is much slower than the card I’m buying. Did I mention my new card is a third of the price of my old card? I’m so glad I didn’t splurge when I bought Roxanne.

I wanted to max out my RAM to 4 gigs, but the sticks I want aren’t in stock. Those, too, are disgustingly cheaper than what I paid for four years ago. For another day.

A new toy! I’m excited.

Yay for new video card! I never knew how great one was until I tried to play WoW on my laptop which is almost 10 years old!–wow that’s kind of crazy to think about. Anyway, grats on the new video card–it is awesome:D.

my computer needs both ram and a graphics card. sometimes, playing wow is quite painful. like, when i go into some cities that are hard on ye ol graphics card (i have no idea what i actually have right now) it will disconnect me and such or run very slow grats for you!
