I just tried to survive this workout. The weight room went more humid than usual. I was sucking air after the first exercise pairings. So far, 185 lbs hasn’t started feeling light. Bulgarian Split Squats took a lot out of me again. Added weight to lat pull, and completed for full sets. Swapped in step-ups in place of RDLs, to avoid any problems. Lower back felt fine during deadlifts, didn’t feel anything out of the ordinary. Would have jogged more, but again, I had abs cramps. Damn it.
And whoa, my weight is still dropping. Seriously considering going garbage can bulk when I start lifting heavier. My body just does not like retaining weight. I can only wonder how much weight I’d lose if I was actually TRYING to lose weight.
Adjustments: Reps drop to 10, and rest drops to 45 seconds. I’m going to be bold and put 205 on the bar, and try to pull for 3×10. That’ll make me feel bad-ass. Everything after that will just be trying to survive. Lat pull should be fine for 120 lbs. I’ll bump the BSS to 15 lbs, and uh, not be a weenie. Those step-ups will be the death of me, I’ll try and hold 10 lbs and stay with it.
Given how I’ve dropped the workout frequency, I’m going to do each pair of workouts only twice. That places me at finishing this routine on August 15th. That’ll give me, at most, a single week to start Strength I before the Y closes for a week and a half.
