The Feminine Nutsac.
Tara was a little late, but she called in advance to let me know. That earns her character points.
When she came over, she said she wanted to talk to me. So we eventually went into my room. Because I hate having my parents listen, you know? She’d told me previously that she was seeing her friend Seth last Saturday. I could already tell where the conversation was going. He got along really well with her mom? I asked her how long she knew him. A while? Since 8th grade. I asked how he wasn’t friend-zoned. She said he was – but then they didn’t see each other for a while.
I said “I see.”
As I told her, I tend to think of others before myself. She said she felt bad. My mind was kind of blank at that point, but I obviously didn’t rub it in. It isn’t my nature to do that. I’m annoyed at my luck with women. She told me I’d meet someone, someday. Sigh. She’s on my right pinkie. The next girl I kiss will be on my feet. I joked that it means I’ll pound her heart out.
Strangely, I felt okay. Kind of disappointed, obviously. She asked if we were still friends. Of course. You can’t get that attached to someone you barely know. (Nevermind how it IS possible.)
We sat and watched UHF, which she found exceptionally amusing. I’ve had times where I’ve sat next to a girl and really wanted to cuddle her. While cuddling her would have been nice, I felt fine. I’m not making this up!
I think I do well when I know things are resolved. I swiped her cell phone again so she couldn’t get away. I walked her outside so I could say my piece. She tried taking it, but I didn’t want to start flirting. I told her she has balls. That’s the best way I could put it. I told her most girls have a propensity for not communicating with me, and she has balls. She bowed. I asked her not to be afraid of me. She said,
“I stayed, didn’t I?”
She hugged, and she went on her way back to her car.
Let’s see, what’s the condensed version that I’ll be telling Liz and Cliff? “Oh, she’s decided to date another jew who she’s known for a long time that her parents love.”
I respect a girl who will communicate with me directly, in person. Far cry from the way I’ve been treated in the past. It gives me hope. Females have been getting progressively better.
Though, I won’t deny that I’m a little sad now. Who wouldn’t be? I’ll be fine come morning. Sigh. Someday. Someday, I’ll meet a girl who… Someday, indeed…

OK, so, her parents like him. But did she say anything about her feelings? Still, very cool that she was at least up-front about it. Very cool.

Go to 12 step meetings to meet girls. They are learning to have character in a formal way. I really love my son’s gf- that’s where they met. Big hugs to you.
