Way better than yesterday, weightwise. And I kept noticing the damn females. I try to just tune the ladies out. Why oh why did a girl wearing short-shorts decide to use the groin stretching apparatus?

Front squats are getting progressively harder, but I haven’t hit failure yet. Let’s not even talk of form. I’m more concerned with hitting proper depth and getting back out of the hole. The wave-loading really does work. Each ten lb drop in poundage feels progressively lighter.

King Deadlifts are getting better. I need to work on holding the down position for a split second before rising, so I know I’m not cheating too much. …I finished the lunges. My forearms and traps burned like crazy holding those fuckers. I don’t know if I’m going to hit a wall. I fear I will be able to lunge with a pair of 50 lb dumbbells. There was a female doing sun saluation while I was doing V-ups. Naturally being in the middle of v-ups isn’t exactly the best time to make conversation. So I didn’t.

I decided I wanted to lift heavy shit for my extra front squats. Screw progressive increments, let’s set a personal record! It was only two months ago that I hit failure trying to front squat 165. I figured I could hit it. And I did! I front squatted over bodyweight. This has to bode well for my back squats. I bet when I finish with this phase, I’ll be able to black squat 225. …And back squat, too! Those front squats weren’t easy, but 155 feels lighter after front squatting 165. Same with 145. I felt it all in my groin – and my abs. See, squats DO hit your core!

Ooop, Cliff dropped by at random. Normally I get grocery-type stuff after I lift, but I don’t NEED food. I can do it tomorrow. Grocery store is usually packed on Saturday, anyway. Unless I drag him with me or something. We’ll see.

Adjustments: Level up those front squats to 145/155/165. Level up lunges to 50/45/40.

“I’m more concerned with hitting proper depth and getting back out of the hole.” Heehee. I’m immature.
