The Last Registration.

I usually get really excited about picking classes. I remember the drill I’d go through every semester at Rutgers, wondering where my interests would venture for the next four months. It’s been less uplifting here, as course selection is minimally exceptional.

I wasn’t sure what courses I’d be taking because, for once, I’m at the point where I’m near the end. End? This ends? I have the transfer form I received last August to track which courses I have credit for. I was curious about the academic electives, or whatever you want to call them. One of the advisors (I went to the semesterly group advicement/lunch) said that I probably got credit for two classes. Ha, all those stupid classes I took came in handy.

There was still the issue of assembly language, which isn’t being offered next fall. She handed me a Course Substitution Form. How handy! How fitting the one course that I failed twice at Rutgers I will not have to see again.

I’m taking 17 credits over seven courses, but I don’t think it’ll be that difficult. The question of yoga or self-defense? I decided to do both. Weight Training had next to no homework, so I’ll assume these won’t eat any free time. Plus they’re on separate days, so I’ll be in good shape for when I feel like lifting.

She suggested I take her Network Security class as a substitution. We’ll see whether I end up regreting that. Unix 2 should be a repeat of Unix 1. Which was insanely easy, and the same guy will be teaching Unix 2. Double-period, but oh well. C++ 2 is also a double-period. Oh well again.

I remember Alex’s suggestion that I take a photography course. However, I remember somebody mentioning how the photography courses here suck. How you have to pay for your own equipment and all that junk. However, I did see a Digital Imaging course. Let’s see how county wants me to play with photoshop.

And I’m insistent on taking Spanish III. Those books cost a lot, you know! : D In fact, Spanish will probably be the hardest course, again. Which is good, as it’s still holding my interest.

Yoga and Self-Defense will end early/mid November, which will be just in time for NaNoWriMo. Oh baby. …I sure hope I come up with an idea or two of a novel to write by then.

Hrm. Nine months. I have nine months to wonder what I’m going to do after eight months are over. My borrowed time is almost up. Is this how other people feel when they register, just doing it to get it over with and.. then you’re done? Forebod not it will. A piece of paper in hand, I think my journey will finally get a kick in the ass.

You were in my dream last night. I don’t really remember much about it, except that you kept stroking the small of my back with your fingers and it was really turning me on. 😛

Hi, found you through babyslime. I took spanish for 5 years. Spanish III is so much fun… if you like spanish. 🙂 Need any help? Let me know!

*giggles at Jill*

Angry at the injustice of the world!

Taking both is a good idea.

Assembly? They still teach that? Gah.

RYN; Strong of body or strong of mind? Because you’re very strong, mind wise. I think you’re strong body wise too.

I always hated registering. Trying to fit all the classes in the correct spots and hoping they were offered when you needed them….It sucked. And then meeting with your advisor at the end to make sure you have all the credits you need in all the correct spots so you can graduate…That was fun. Ahhh, memories. Almost makes me want to go back and get the doctorate.

RYN; I will definetely settle for that.

Ugh, NaNo. I’m going to do it, no doubt about that, but I have no idea what I’m going to write about. Good luck to all of us, there.Next year is my senior year in high school and I’m kind of freaked out about that. I have less than two months and then I have to start making decisions. I’m not ready for it at all.laura
