Child Psych or Educational Psych?
I more or less have my schedule for next semester sorted out. Already. I merely have one decision to make. I know that a lot can depend on professors. But. Should I take Educational Psych or Child Psychology? I’m leaning towards the former, what with my tendency lately to help people understand things. A while ago, I heard that the later is more or less How To Be A Parent. In both cases, I could run into the problem of thinking I could learn something applicable, and end up learning something altogether not applicable.
My vote is for Child Psychology. Not just in terms of understanding your future kids, but also in terms of understanding yourself, as a kid. I think it will give you great insight into the whole conflict with your dad. Educational Psych is more school oriented. It’s still worthwhile, I’m just not sure if you’ll get as much out of it.

I’d say, for you, educational. And that’s not because I don’t think you should be in Child, ’cause you’re not a parent. Child is personally my favorite, and it’s fun.

I’d go with the first one.

Make that three. Glad you wrote. So bored at work. I was all “do do do…I bet Timmy has written by now…*loggy log log* yay!” Now back to drudgery.

I would go for educational, but as you said it totally depends on the professor. Psych of Childhood was one of my favorite courses ever, but it had a lot to do with the instructor (Ph.D student working on her thesis in Ed. Psych)

I would take child… educational psych bored me to tears but developmental was facinating to me. 🙂

They both suck — I enjoyed psychology, but the part dealing with kids/students was definitely my least favorite.
