Jesus Loves Me

I checked my email today and got an email from some chick I met once somewhere. All it said was “JESUS LOVES YOU.”

I’m not going to go into all the ways and all the degrees that “Christians” piss me off all the way to the core of my being, but here’s what I sent her back.

You know, although I’ve heard that a million times before, it never really sank in until just now. I never realized just how wide, and deep, and unending the love of Christ really is. And all I’ve ever done is trample that love. I need to change. I need Jesus to change me and make me into his image. Maybe he can still do that.

Hehe, is that what you wanted to hear? (Insert evil laugh here).

Honestly, what’s the point of telling people that? Are we sinners supposed to suddenly fall to our knees because some “savior” that we don’t care about “loves us”? Maybe Christians would have a little more success at “winning the lost” if we who are lost actually saw something real in the “Christians.”

I don’t remember where we met or anything, but in case you didn’t know before…congratulations, you hit my “hot button.”
