The God Who Cried Wolf
Well, well, well, world events are finally moving beyond the point where they are anal and repetitive to where they are beginning to get interesting.
I was thinking today about the book of Revelations in the Bible. I was thinking about all the prophecies concerning the end times, the Battle of Armageddon, and things of that nature.
Personally, I think Id be fine if this was the beginning of the end. If its going to come anyways, why put it off? Why not just get it over with?
Besides, what better time is there for it to happen? We can all sit back and watch the live coverage as the battle rages on the playing field of the Middle East. We can throw some popcorn in the microwave, call some friends over, and watch continuous coverage and commentary on the whole thing.
Then, if the scriptures are true, we can observe from a distance as the moon turns to blood, the stars fall from the sky, and the antichrist comes to power. Or maybe those were all figurative references. Or maybe the antichrist is already around.
Or maybe its all just a load of crap.
People for the past 2,000+ years have read Biblical prophecy and tried to apply them to the current events of the time. And for the past 2,000 years people have been wrong.
Christians would say, Well that just means the return of Christ is closer than ever. I suppose if hes really there and is really coming, then that would be true. But the whole, Behold, Im coming quickly thing reminds me of a story I heard as a child.
The story was called The Boy Who Cried Wolf and was about a kid who kept crying wolf because he thought it was funny to scare everyone and watch them panic. Then when a wolf really came, no one believed him.
I think God has lost a bit of credibility due to this same principal.
I know people will try and quote Psalms and say that 1,000 years is like a day to God, but that doesnt mean squat. Why would God bother saying anything at all if he was going to speak in God talk and not speak plainly so we could understand? Wow, you know, that may be another topic for another entry.
Anywhose, I do think its be cool to see the world ending, stars falling from the sky, the moon turning to blood, and 1/3 of the earth being scorched. I still dont think Id be able to believe though, but then again the Bible predicts that.
Just think, if we all go out at the same time, no one will ever again have to suffer through outliving someone they love. There will be no winners. Its just fast-forwarding to what is inevitable anyways, because the human race wont live forever

A message to our enemies
Never fuck with one whos had to fight for being free
Whether its one, or two, or three
Well take our pleasure out on making you believe
And Im taking you out and taking you down, youll see
And Im taking you out and taking you down with me

Is God really the one who has been “crying wolf” or is it the people? Because anytime anything happens everyone who is remotely “Christian” or has the slightest knowledge of the Bible, starts babbling off some prophecy that they heard somewhere or something. RYN:But the grace you are looking at seems very works based to me. Grace isn’t about what we can do. Its what God can do. Love ya
