Tears-Revised

Tears- drops of water from the tear ducts in a person’s eyes, usually released during intense sorrow or laughter; also, a series of rips, as in tearing something apart.

So much inside that never comes out

Faces and places and way too much doubt

An entire life lived knowing nothing better

Hoping to find some relief in a letter

Trying so hard to be like the rest

“Normal and happy” would be the best

The desperate do anything to get to this place

Anything to put a smile on my face

.

Tears in my eyes fall out of my head

Tears in my heart rip it to shreds

Tears of the loved ones all left behind

Tearing away at the lonely man’s mind

.

Days and weeks blend as they pass by

It’s all the same, no more to try

“Everyday life” becoming a chore

Time is now turning into a bore

.

Pleading for answers that can’t be found

Everything clear as you’re put in the ground

Wish it did not have to be this way

But there is nothing more I can say

.

I wrote the first half of this last week, and said it was probably a work-in-progress. So here’s a little bit more.
