Leap of Faith

I’m sitting here on the edge of the CUSP, waiting to take the leap and not wanting to look back and my previous life. It’s a bit scary sitting here on the edge, “just need to jump now”, take the Neste plunge. A new moment in my life. It’s a whole new chapter all right but more like a whole new world.

Our “Estate Sale” that’s what my mother in law’s signage indicated. drew in about 300 people into our house. We made over $2,000. Many people asked why we were moving from such a beautiful house, My hubby would explain that we were finally moving to our dream cabin up in the mountains. He would even show these strangers pictures of our cabin- then they would ask if the house was for sale. My husband learned quickly to tell people he planned on “flipping the house” that seemed to satisfy the inquisitive,

Our neighbors even got involved in the estate sale and added their unwanted items to our stash of goods. It was all good! The neighbor two doors down bought our lawn furniture. I can picture all their adoptive kids from Kenya sitting around the table for an outdoor picnic.

I did have fun participating in the sales of our household items. My mother in law (Doris) had to take me aside and tell me I shouldn’t sale things for free our lower the price even if the person was willing to pay the ticketed price. Hey-I’m a friendly person, I just wanted to get rid of the junk!! Less to bundle up and take to the Goodwill, Of course all children’s books were free to good kids–all kids are good.

I’m typing this entry from our bed that is now in our living room. The upstairs is all packed up with most of the belongings in a Northbend storage. Boxes and boxes of stuff. I just can’t part with so many things like my scrapbooks, pictures, stuff that speak to my heart. It’s just not possible to send these items to the Good will. It’s like giving away part of my spirit and soul.

Our truck has busted a nut- I mean fuel injector. It’s in the shop right now, not a good time for the truck to break down. I can just imagine how much it will cost to fix. Money we don’t have right now just add this to our list of OH NO’S! Husband also busted up our new plasma screen tv a 50 incher I might add. He was hauling it up the mountain to bring it into the cabin when he rested the tv on his shoulder to take a breather and all of a sudden he heard the glass crack a spider crack though the entire plasma screen–it’s TOAST!

The roof is also falling off- so I just added that to the OH NO LIST

Pray for us-light a candle- think good things will come our way.

I don’t know when I will be able to write again. Need to get the internets running at the cabin. Hughes Satellite says they can do the job==lets hope this wont be on our OH NO LIST.
