Christmas in February

Happy President’s, Presidents’ and Presidents Day

however it’s spelled

Yes! I know that today is February 19th and our Christmas Tree is still up and shining brightly. It’s a real flocked tree and not one needle has fallen off yet.

We were supposed to decorate it with hearts for February you know Valentine’s day but now we will have to shoot for St patties day.

Two weeks ago I decided to take the wreath off our front door for fear of getting a letter in the mail from the home owners association

I guess it’s to late to have the boy scouts pick up the tree for a $20 donation. We’re about a month and half late.

I was embarrassed last week when my mother announced she was going to come over to drop of her flat coat retiever “Page” for a play date with my dogs. How I’m I going to hide the tree. Much to my surprise my mother said that it was still beautiful and thought it was a great idea keeping it up all year round. Go figure! My mother never ceases to amaze me.

I thought it would be a good idea to write an entry today since I’m at the bottom of my favorite list. I think At Last is now at the bottom. So many people have gone favorites this week which means OD is getting smaller and smaller the once fun community is now diminishing quickly. I don’t plan on leaving any time soon because I write for me like I have since I was nine years old. I once wrote in paper journals–I have a suitcase full of them. About 13 years ago I had a boyfriend that got pissed off at me and wrote a very NASTY letter in between the lines of all my journals. So in order for me to read his letter I had to read all my journals from the age of nine to the age 27. Needless to say, I quit writing in paper journals. This has recently happened to one of my new favs except her journal is online. Her not so nice husband copied and pasted parts of her entry to his online diary and added his own commentary. This is so sad it brings back bad memories for me–the x boyfriend ended up going nuts. I’m still afraid of him.

Still planning on moving to the cabin. We are in the process of flipping our house–like the tv show on HGTV. Eddie has been busy doing projects that I assign to him to complete. Right now he is re-siding the house–we hope to sell it for $450,000-anyone want to live in beautiful house in Gig Harbor?

Log in to write a note

found you on completely random recent entry thingy here and poof you live in Washington too! and poof your tree is still up! I took mine down yesterday heheheh just had to note and tell you that you aren’t alone :))

The commute would be a little long for me, but thanks! 😉

How could any needles fall off with all that flocking? Those suckers are glued on tight! *laughs* I look forward to seeing your tree tricked out for St. Patty’s Day! It’ll look great in green. And good luck with flipping your house!

I just heard Dr. Laura say that one should never write into a diary unless they are willing to have it read – especially in the case of married couples – it can be required to be turned in during a divorce proceeding.

that is so darned funny that you still have your christmas tree up. lol lol lol!!!!! you know, you are so right about open diary. i do believe it would be better if more keep their diary on public and not favorites only. and public notes instead of private only. it makes it more fun for everyone! thank you for your note of encouragement. it is greatly appreciated!
