Middle of January
They really are best friends. Tuck weighs 175lbs and Marley weighs 75 pounds size doesn’t matter they are perfect playmates. THANK YOU CRAIGS LIST—for Marley!
We had to take Tucker to see his vet. He has an ugly looking growth on his side. The Doc tells us not to worry it doesn’t look too suspicious for cancer but the growth will need to be removed. We set up a surgery date for Janury 18th. Eddie will help the good doctor lift Tuck up onto the operating table and he will have the opportunity to watch.
Today, I noticed the Marley was licking Tucks ouie *BEST FRIENDS* Tuck didn’t seem to mind and was relishing in this kind gesture. When I looked a little closer I noticed that the growth was gone…I don’t know what happened to it but its gone and no where to be found. Marley eats everything, pens, Hershey kiss wrappers, socks, hair curlers, anything left on the floor so it wouldn’t surprise me if he ate the growth. Looks like I will need to cancel the operation but will still need to keep a close watch in case the growth decides to rear up his ugly head. Rotties are realy prone to cancer.
I took the dogs down the hill to the bay yesterday. There is still snow on the ground and the weather is in the teens. My dogs don’t care what degree it is outside. Marley looked like a polar bear swimming in the bay he swam and swam and decided to swim some more I yelled for him to return to shore but instead he did a 360 and started to swim further out into the bay. Needless to say, I was in complete panic yelling and carrying on for my dog to come back. Tuck was resting besides me-he knows better.
Marley did finally come back after much coaxing and yelling. Maybe I should buy a doggie life jacket or a very lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng leash.
It’s going to snow again tonight!!!! I really do love snow but hope the lights don’t go out again. It’s really hard to pass out medications and do treatments by flashlight. There is no generater at work.-!!!
