MARLEY & ME
MARLEY & ME
THE HOUSE IS A FLURRY AGAIN OF WAGGING TAILS AND FLUFF..
and torn up socks.
It wasn’t easy trying to find the right dog. I had searched the local shelters and checked out the local breeders. Baby Yellow labs are not cheap between $800 -1000 and most breeders require contracts (almost like a home association) Pet finders lead me to a baby yellow lab at a shelter East of the mountains. I was excited to pick him up and was preparing for the long drive when I got a call from the shelter that my puppy has parvo and would have to be euthanized. My heart dropped right to my knees when I received the call.
I gave up searching for a while
Tuck was getting really depressed–I even contemplated about putting him on Prozac. A rottie on Prozac–that just isn’t right.
So my search continued. I checked on Craigs List every day for two months and finally one day I read the listing
2 YEAR OLD YELLOW LAB FREE TO A GOOD HOME
and the rest is now history….
