WIND AT MY BACK
Dear Diary,
I’m sitting in my big bed
My big fluffy Barefoot Dreams robe wrapped around me, (one of Oprah’s favorite things) my big Maine Coon Cat resting at my feet.
my lap top is on my lap-i guess that’s why they call it a laptop
sans BB
sans Kev
sans Craig
they are all down stairs watching Dumb and Dumber for the zillionth time
I’m enjoying this get-a-way so, so very much
We have the kids for spring break
didn’t they just have a winter break?
I have the window open for fresh air
I always sleep with the window open
it is pouring down raining like cats and dogs
I always wondered what the saying meant
I just googled it–I could pick from four choices I like the number two origin.
The phrase is supposed to have originated in England in the 17th century when city streets were filthy and heavy rain would occasionally carry along dead animals.
I just google my name–Nothing!!!
I googled my baby sisters name—she had four hits! In the future I know she will have Hundreds of hits–There are big I mean BIG THINGS happening in her life–
I’m so proud of her, but sad that we can’t spend time together anymore.
I googled my fathers name–closed my eyes and hit enter
*PEEKING*
My father was listed on several sites, He was very involved in Indian Affairs, and conservation,
I miss him so much
Unplugging him from the machines was the best thing that I could have done for him.
HE IS NOW THE WIND AT MY BACK
I miss you daddy
*wiping tears*
grieving really never ends
*PULLING MYSELF TOGETHER*
Its getting a little windy outside
The wind chimes are making their lovely racket
*sigh*
wireless Internet is the best invention since sliced bread
sad news to report
I’m not a size 0 anymore
I’m 5″4″ tall and weigh 110 lbs
I’m not proportionate
I’m a 34 D
BB doesn’t seem to mind
I wish my breast were a tad bit smaller
my dog is snoring, she sleeps on a big doggie pillow
Here is a picture one of my patients made for me. I’m trying to rescue him from my place of employment.
He wrote me a little note on the pic which said: the hind quarters are in his freezer.–he is funny like that (:
*yawn*
Getting sleeping
here is a bed time story about him
His daughter called me the other day and asked me point blank if he belonged in a locked unit, with limited activities, and uneducated caregivers. She has been feeling guilty about not visiting him-the administrator told her not to visit him for 30 days, he needed time to adjust. She wanted my honest opinion–from the heart. I recounted the interaction I had with her father the other day. He wanted to go to the bank and check his finances–I hemmed and hawed and gave him a little fibblet of a lie and told him that the banks were all closed. He questioned me and asked what holiday it was…one of my more functioning patient blurted out “PRESIDENTS DAY”! I agreed trying not to look into his eyes–I’m not a very good liar–and I really don’t like to be put into this predicament. My patient left a tad bit ruffled and went back to his room. He came back and brought me his calendar and pointed out to me that President’s day is not in April
the moral to this story is that my patient is not demented, and fully understands what is going on. HE IS BEING HELD AGAINST HIS WILL
Don’t all of us some memory loss
*the daughter is working on moving him out hopefully to an assisted living facility that is not locked down.
*I don’t care if the admin has an empty bed–we are dealing with human lives here not just a number.
Good night sleep tight
don’t
let the
bed bugs bite!
THE PROTECTOR
I absolutely despise the nursing homes we have in my area. I wouldn’t let my cat live there. Assisted living centers in our area are nice however. But the locked down homes? Horrifying. Cognitive patients who are locked in a world they cannot escape from and their rights removed by the staff. I just hate them. Just smother me with a pillow before sending me off to one of these wretched places.

I hope that you and his daughter can get him released. Who put him there in the first place?
