GRAPE SNOWCONES
Yes, that is me on my blade runner, the utimate sled. Fun FUN FUN–I just can’t get enough of the thrill of being a kid-age to me is just a number because I’m feeling younger and younger. People always ask me how I stay so young looking, and I tell them it’s all about your outlook. Stress adds so many years, people who are so fixated about what will happen, what has happened or people who ruminate over transgressions, holding grudges, worry about money the list really does go on and on. I stay young because i live in the moment and use up every minute of the day surrounded, immersed in love giving and receiving and most importantly make time to play as hard as I can.
I believe if you lost the luster of being a kid at heart, life will just be a life-a life without living. Whether it’s making snow angels, snowbording, sledding down a powdery hill, taking sharp corners on a snowmobile, or slurping on Grape snow cones, it’s seeing the world through a child’s eyes this is my secret for staying and looking young.
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle”
ALBERT EINSTEIN
I taught Sami and her cousins how to make grape snowcones, the cousins were a little timid because they didn’t think their mother would allow it. Their mother decided not to come up to the mountains because she gets car sick and didn’t think she could handle the trip. It’s too bad because she missed out on a wonderful time. I also taught her daughters how to snowboard. I love to cultivate self esteem in young kids. The girls where beaming with joy and pride of learning a new skill.
The girls had a blast, even their dad, went down the slope on my big intertube–again and again he went down. He forgot how fun it is to play in the snow. Him and I got to carried away in a snow cloud of giddiness and decided to put the dog in the tube and see if he could go for a thrill ride. Don’t do this at home. The dog bite through the tube so bye bye intertubie–it was fun while it lasted.
IN A CHILD’S EYE
You can see by this picture, Sami is playing as hard as she can, we like to ride on the blade runner with me on the bottom and her on top, we laugh all the way down Enchantment hill and putting our brakes on (feet) right at the river’s edge. I’m hoping just maybe one of these days, we end up in the river for the ultimate ride.
Neat!

I followed a note on another diary to this page. I like the way you sound! All young at heart. (I just turned 40) We get nothing like that kind of snow where I live. I am trying to make sure I do fun things to make me feel young (good) everday.

ryn: the cat is our neighbor’s cat and he is the sweetest creature ever. he’s got allergies of some sort, and a harelip … and always looks … pathetic. i wish he were mine; i’d take a lot better care of him then they do.

Thanks for the note. And wow, your pictures are really good too! They remind me of when I was a kid in Colorado. I miss the snow sometimes. It snowed here the other day, but only a quarter of an inch, and it melted in a half an hour…
