A LITTLE OF THIS AND A LITTLE OF THAT
Today is my one day off from work, I have to clean the entire house because BB’s kids will be coming over to mess it all up. I have to work the weekend so I will not be able to constantly pick up after them. So, if the house is clean before they come over it will be moderatly in shambles by Sunday night. I have boxes all over the place right now, I’m trying to pack all my thanksgiving decorations and unpack all the christmas trinkets: pillows, table cloth, placemats, candles, and lots and lots of snowmen! I’m on my third load of wash, doing whites right now, BB is all out of whites, socks, underware and t-shirts; his Costco white attire. I indulged in a one hour break and watched little house on the prairie-Laura is kicking Nellie’s behind in a nice mud bath. Laura should have learned by now not to trust Nellie! Just love having my lap tap next to me while watching tv. I have been checking out all the little house websites-ha! Carrie(s) even has a website!!
I will be making my gingerman bread men cookies again this year-I make hundrends of these little guys, thinking about using Laura’s recipe. Will have to do a taste run before I start double and triple batching. I once tried to make a ginger bread house by scratch-it was a complete disaster just a totally flop. I really should try again sometime.
I’m trying to make my lap top wireless because it is a wireless ready laptap. I hardly ever go up into my computer room “the swirly girl room” anymore, why be holed away from everyone when now I can sit, lay, on the couch playing on the internet and watching tv, talking on the phone, and eating-very carefullly. My lap top came with free AOL for 2 months so I have been using a dail-up–now I remember why I went to dsl. I tried for an hour today to hook up my router but my desk top just isn’t communicating. I really don’t think BB will be able to help me out with this problem–he gets too frustrated with computer stuff-! When I was single, I always had a computer geek on hand to help me out-just had to promise him a nice home cooked meal and a back rub. Now, what is a girl to do?
Go SHOPPING, after cleaning the house I drove through the harbor, the rain was pelting, there was a mist raising up from the bay, the sky was ship gray, the pavement was luminescent with the store front christmas lights and twinkels, sailboats, wooden boats displaying brightly colored lights; a picture perfect christmas card. My first stop was the Christmas Store, a three story cottage in the heart of town, this store is open all year round. Everything in the store is christmas stuff. I bought some Lil’ Bundles of joy, Made by the artist Nancye Williams, and a cute snowman, snowflake box candle holder.
I also went to Target–I really shouldn’t have gone though, because of management not allowing the Salvation Army bell ringers. This decision is such a disappointment for me. I have been donating extra money this year, to ringers at other stores. We are living in very sad times. With the bad in this world there is also the Good.
I want to thank a very special OD friend KNIT WIT for being so kind enough to send my cat-Mittens the most beautifully knitted cat blanket-my kitty has an early christmas present. I took about 50 pictures of her today, but she is not the best model I have photographed. Damn that Cat, she always has to have her way.
Well the kids are here now and the pot of chilli I made is now ready, the movie is now in “The Born Supremacy-so I guess this means I got to go. Have a nice weekend everyone!
knit wit is cool. lol, I just bought the Bourne Supremacy at Media Play. too tired to watch it tonight though. I hope it’s worth 16$.

Love the pic of the cat, yep, they never cooperate when you want them to. Hopefully the kids won’t destroy the place too much. Have a great weekend.

I like the picture. I think Target said they let the Salvation Army know months in advance of their policy. What I also read was that they had allowed the SA there for years dispite this policy. I wonder why people don’t say they are going to boycott what is the office supply store that also stopped them.
