ABUNDANCE OF LOVE

I just can’t imagine my life sans animals. My dogs and cat are my constant, comforting companions. If only humans could love you this way so unconditionally. Tuck likes to sprawl his lanky Rottweiller body under my computer desk and lick my bare feet he licks with such adamantine admiration, Miss Nelly looks at me with such loyal, love in her eyes, and Mittens cuddles with me at night her purring soothes me to a peaceful slumber. I really doubt my body will allow me to give birth, the pains of being wombless, the yearning to nurture, this natural womanly instinct that swells up in me will soon dissipate into a deep empty void. My thoughts turn towards my animals and how I conoddle them and love them as if they were my children. Always watching over them, with a mothers eye, makeing sure they have been feed, put outside, playtime, walks and an embarrassing amount of kisses. They don’t complain if the toilet paper dispenser is empty, stacks of clean and dirty clothes mixed together, playing on the computer too much, watching the lifetime and Hallmark channels-they just love me and don’t care about my imperfections.
