why meeeeeee – wow i ramble about my pets…

I think sometimes I’m getting what was coming to me for being lucky enough that the only reactions my kids had to food was them not being able to drink too much cow’s milk and ireland not being able to drink too much apple juice.

Key words there are “too much.”

This darn puppy of mine has that horrible awful dontfeedheranythingdontgiveheranythingtodrinkdontlethereattrashdontdontdont stomach.

Stupid stomach. And it’s hard to tell what causes it…she’ll eat something weird and have the shits immediately.

Everywhere. My house smells like poo right now 🙁 I can’t air it out good and the heat makes it smell worse. ARRRRRGGGGGGGG

I’m pretty sure it’s the piece of paper/cardboard/whatever it was that I saw her pick up last night. Well. Part of it. I took away the piece I saw that she had but I have no idea where it came from.

Yeah. Little crap like that gives her…well…the craps.

*cries* AHHHHHHHHHHHH

I woke up this morning to get the kids ready, went to let the dogs out and DAMNIT Tika had pooed all in her crate last night and apparently wallowed in it.

*sigh*

I think the worst thing about having a dane is trying to bathe them in a bathtub that can never be large enough.

And she’s not even half of what she’s going to be. Fun stuff.

I think I screwed up though. I talked to David after it happened and since he’s usually the one bathing the dogs he asked, “How’d you like that?” (bathing her)

I told him “She wasn’t bad for me, it was pretty easy except it killed my back.”

“Oh…she never wants to stand still for me. Maybe it’s just me then.”

“Yeah, you’re a dick. She’s scared of you.”

LOL She really is, he’s intimidating to her. In as much as she gives me all the submissive puppy signs (her big one with me is rubbing her nose under my chin) she’s just terrified of him.

She used to pee in the floor everytime she got in trouble, and I broke her of it but not long ago all he did was go to hook her leash on her collar, but he must have said something in a tone she didn’t like cause he wasn’t even talking to her….but that coupled with him standing over her and she PEEEEEEEED everywhere.

That and he loves Jill more. And that’s ok LOL But they’re both HELLA jealous of each other, if you pet one the other tries to shove in there and Tika’s just bigger (yes, my not-quite 6 month old dane is bigger than our 6 yr old boxer…did you expect anything less? lol) so when she does it, she succeeds. And she gets in trouble for it more.

But she’ll try to love on him and he pushes her away. I think she’s too much dog for him. That’s probably why you see a lot of short people with big dogs. ROFL Like they say about men and fancy cars…

So I’ve probably just stuck myself with bathing her forever. Oh well. I’d rather bathe her than Jill, her fur never seems to want to rinse out. Danes don’t have shit for fur so it’s easy as long as she’s cooperating.

Which brings me to another issue – pleeeaaase people, quit with the “that’s what you get for keeping that big dog in the house.”

Would you leave your friggin chihuahua outside in this cold? Really? Why not?

Oh that’s right. They’re tiny and don’t have much fur. Unless they’re long haired. Which danes do not have. Ever.

Danes are like giant chihuahuas. LOL

I thought it was funny.

ryn: I had the Glenda costume custom made–it was expensive but well worth it because the woman who made it (found her on ebay-just search Glenda costume and MANY will show up!) makes her costumes with “sensitive skin” in mind…so it’s the first dress up costume Hannah didn’t complain about wearing! 🙂

Eek that’s why I don’t want a puppy. I wouldn’t have the patience for training it. RYN: I use that long hair shampoo. I think it’s from Pantene?? It seems to work well. And that’s basically it. Usually it’s not that straight. I have really thick hair and it’s usually a puffball.
