Hmmmmmm, am I here again?  Two days in a row?  Could this mean I’m doing NOJOMO?  Still too early to tell I think lol.

I’m still loving my hair but I still don’t have a picture of it.   Now that I’m happy with the color I need to do some about a cut or style.  My hair is baby fine and it needs some body.  I might splurge and go get it cut.  Treat myself for my birthday which is coming up.  The problem with getting a cut is that if I don’t like it, I’m stuck with it for a long time.  To give you an example, my last haircut was a few days before my birthday last year.  A WHOLE YEAR AGO and I bet it has grown 2 inches tops.  I’ve always had the slowest growing hair and the fastest growing fingernails of anyone I know.

I do have a picture to post though.  It is recent but it is BEFORE changing my hair color.

This is a pic taken a few weeks ago of me and some of my best friends.  Anyone who has read my diary knows how lucky I am when it comes to friends.  I have several best friends, all of whom I’ve known 30+ years.

In the back, in the black shirt, is my friend  Bonnie.  We went all through grade school together but didn’t get really close until 8th grade.  We have been through so much together and I have no secrets from her.  She understands me better than anyone I know and I can tell her anything.  Our lives have paralleled in so many ways it’s eerie.   I consider her family and we talk on the phone at least once a day.  And now here we are, both of us grandmothers to Leah and the new baby coming in January. We both agree, we never saw this coming LOL.

Directly in front of Bonnie, in the white blouse, is Suzi.  We went to high school together (all four of us did actually) but Bonnie and I had not seen Suzi in about 35 years!  We are Facebook friends but hadn’t gotten together until this night.

Then there is me, with my multi-colored, fine, slow growing hair LOL.  I just had a thought, I’m going to dig a pic from my bday last year which of course shows my last haircut.  You’ll see what I mean about the slow growth.

In the very front is my dear friend Tish.  I first laid eyes on this beautiful girl when I was in 6th grade.  She had gorgeous blond hair down to her waist and I was in awe.  We didn’t become friends that year but met up again in our freshman year of high school and clicked right away.  She would be easy to hate if you didn’t know her lol.  She was (and is) so gorgeous!  But she is one of those rare people who is even more beautiful on the inside.  She is the sweetest, kindest, most loving person you could ever hope to know.

All in all, I don’t think we look bad for a group of 50+ year olds!

Okay here is a pic from a year ago (almost to the day):

I wish I could figure out how to post them side by side but you can see what I mean.  It has hardly grown at all!  This is why I have always feared getting my hair cut lol.

RYN: Thank you very much for the encouragement. We can do it! 🙂

I guess we always want what we don’t have. My hair grows so fast I have to get it trimmed every 3 weeks. Good friends are a blessing but of course you have to be one to have one.

I found a Collagen supplement at Costco that I’ve been taking for many months now and it has made a HUGE difference in my hair and nail growth. 🙂
