70’s Music

So I’m sitting here and it’s 2:30 in the morning and I can’t sleep. I ended up going to the ER tonite and I have a very severe case of strep throat. Did you know that instead of getting a script for antibiotics, you can just get one shot in the hip giving you a full 10 day dose?? I think that is so cool!! I’m sure it’s not ideal if you have a fear of needles, but it you don’t, it sure is less hassle than having to remember to take pills 3x/day for 10 days.

Anyway, there is an infomercial on called "The Midnight Special", all 70’s music, my favorite! So I’m bored and thought I would put together a little quiz for you 70’s fans. No googling! Let’s see how well you do – name the song and artist.

1. "You don’t have to be a star baby, to be in my show"

2. "I think I can make it now, the pain is gone"

3. "Badder than old King Kong, meaner than a junkyard dog"

4. "I’ve thought about you for a long, long time"

5. "Loving you whether, whether, times were good or bad, happy or sad"

6. "When evening comes around and it’s time to go to town, where do you go?"

7. "You know we’ve got to find a way, to bring some lovin’ here today"

8. "Last thing I remember, I was running for the door, I had to find the passage back to the place I was before"

9. "I like the way you make me feel about you baby, want the whole wide world to see"

10. "The radio’s playing some forgotten song, Brend a Lee’s comin’ on strong"

11. "But February made me shiver, with every paper I’d deliver"

12. "And dream of a girl I used to know, I closed my eyes and she slipped away"

13. "Cold late night, so long ago, when I was not so strong you know"

14. "Why in the world would anybody put chains on me?"

15. "Mississippi moon won’t ya keep on shining on me?"

BONUS

"Well it’s on and on and on and on and on and on, the beat don’t stop till the break of dawn"

GOOD LUCK!  I’ll post the answers tomorrow.

I would play, since 70s is most of what I listen to, but I should head to bed for my few hours of sleep since this is when Serenade actually sleeps several hours in a row. Mostly I came here to let you know that as soon as I know the gender I have baby clothing for you. My older brother sent me both boys and girls clothing. Serenade is already outgrowing a lot of the smaller things that Ihave.

2: I Can See Clearly Now 3: Jim Croce – Leroy Brown 4: Misty Blue? 8: The Eagles – Hotel California 10: Golden Earring – Radar Love 11: Don McLean – American Pie 12: Gordon Lightfood – Dream Weaver 13: Heart Magic – Man 14: Commodores – Easy 15: Doobie Brothers – Black Water I KNOW all these songs, can sing almost every word of every one, but some of the titles and artists are eluding me. This is what happens when idiot dogs wake me up at 3:20 am! LOL Thanks for the stroll down memory lane!
