Just wanted to quickly share a link with you:

http://www.louieskids.com is an organization founded by the brother of a girl I went to school with. Louis(Jr.) founded the organization in her father’s(Louis Sr.) honor, His father battled obesity all his life. He weighed 550 lbs. when he died of a stroke.

Louis’ commitment to fighting childhood obesity and it’s related diseases, is nothing short of amazing. Please go take look at his website. You can also see him interviewed on CNN and other videos on youtube.com Just do a search for Louie’s kids.

Childhood obesity is so sad. The poor kids don’t even get a fair shot in life. Their teasing starts early..which helps mold their self esteem. It’s just sad. My cousins daughter just turned 8 in april and she weighs 176 lbs already. 🙁

Yes, this really is coming to the fore, more and more. It’s so sad, and so unnecessary. 🙁 I know sometimes, though, it’s a medical issue, but, parents need to check their child/children out at the Dr. and get help. Either way, it is not good and so emotionally and mentally severe on them. I did look at the site. He’s doing an awesome thing!!!!! Thank you for your new notes on my entry. I love thesky pics, too, and NOT just cuz “I” took them, lol. I’ve always had a deep fascination with the sky, and it’s like a huge easle of God, and always changing and just SO lovely!!!!! love & bighugz, Lois. P.S. I sent in a return-mailer to Colonial Penn for info and pricing. I HAVE to stop putting this off. One never knows!!! God alone, knows!! In the meantime, peace of mind is had for me, and for all!!!!! What’Cha up to, today? I am having a lazy day, but, about to go and do my muchly-needed dish washing, LOL. Then, more organizing and cleaning, vacuuming, and a much needed shower! :*)) God bless you and BigHugz…
