NOJOMO DAY 6

Hello everyone!

As I mentioned last night, yesterday was a very busy day!  I had several things to do so I took Makayla to school and Aimee to work so I could have the car.  Came back home and not 5 minutes later Aimee calls and says Makayla got sick at school.  So back out the door to get my little angel.  She looked so pitiful when I got there.  Sitting on a chair in the office with a trash can in front of her.  Yesterday was her first day back after being out all week and I guess she just wasn’t ready. 

I took Bonnie’ s son to get his flu shot and then dropped him, Makayla and Leah off at Bonnie’s sister’s house.  I had promised Bonnie I would take her to get her hair cut and I also needed to go to DMV to renew my license.  I hadn’t even planned to go into the hair place but I did and I’m so glad.   I made a spontaneous decision to get my hair highlighted and cut and I LOVE it.   It looks so CUTE!!  Like a lot of women I have been holding on to the length of my hair even though I loved the idea of it being shorter.  I think a lot of us tend to do that thinking it makes us look younger .  I know I did and I also thought my face was too fat for shorter hair.  A lot of women look great with longer hair, no matter what their age, but in my case it was just time for something different. 

She did partial highlights, from about where my ears are to the top of my head only.  She asked me if I wanted my highlights to whisper, talk or shout.  My first instinct was to go the safe route but then I said what the heck, let ’em shout!  I’m so glad I did because it really did turn out pretty.   She cut my hair really short in the back and left it longer (about chin length) in the front.  I’m sure there will be pictures taken at my birthday dinner so I will post one and you can let me know what you think.

Ended up spending about 3 hours in the salon and didn’t have time to get to the DMV.  I had to go pick everyone up, take them home and then Makayla and I went and got Aimee.  We stopped at the grocery store and then finally back home. 

Today Aimee made everyone breakfast!  Scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, biscuits, juice and coffee.  It was so good.  I’m really proud of how good her cooking skills have gotten.  She really likes to experiment with recipes and spices and she has turned into quite a good cook. 

Today has been a pretty lazy day.  Aimee and Dustin took Makayla and Kayliah and 2 friends to Chuck E. Cheese this afternoon.  So it was just me, Bonnie and Leah who was a perfect little angel.  She is such a good baby.

And tomorrow is my big day!   I thank God for another year on this earth and for all my family and friends.  I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to have all I do.  I wish each one of my favs could be here for my birthday dinner!
