Oh Good Grief!

Good morning!

So today is the big day. I’m leaving here today but you would never know it if you were here LOL. Still lots to do but it will get done.

So this morning, Aimee goes out to take Makayla to school. Not 5 minutes later they were back! Seems she can’t find the car. Well guess what? Our car was towed last night! This certainly threw a monkey wrench into the plans. Turns out our tags are expired. I truly thought they expired at the end of November but obviously I was wrong. I did not get a notice from DMV as I normally get when it’s time to renew. So let’s see, that’s $125 for the towing and $40 for the registration. To say that wasn’t in the budget is the understatement of the decade!

I’m not quite sure how I’m going to fix this. Obviously I had to take money that was meant for something else. But I have decided to just be grateful that I had the cash on me (that in itself is a miracle) and that a good friend was kind enough to come take Aimee to get the car back. It will work out someway, somehow. It always does. Perhaps this was God’s way of telling me to quit bellyaching about my situation because it can always get worse .

Well it’s almost time to shut this old girl down (the computer, not me!) and commence with the packing. Hope you all have a good day and a great weekend. I hope to be back, at least for a quick visit, sometime on Sunday.

OMG! How awful..I am so sorry to hear this, you sure didn’t need this…sending you lots of love & prayers!!! *hugs*

You know you had a unique way of looking at this. It took some of the bitterness out. I’m also glad you had some money on you to get the car back. I never knew a state would tow your car if your tags are expired. I hope they never enact that here. Not because I drive with expired tags but I think that’s going a bit too far and it sounds money hungry to me.

Ohio didn’t have as strict rules regarding tags as Virginia does. And when I found out they actually stick tax/inspection stickers in the middle at the bottom of every Virginia car’s windshield, I was like “Whaaaa?” because I am OCD and don’t want things attached to my car by other people. LOL. I have a bad enough time with the oil change static clings that Saturn gives me. ~Rae~
