Eleven

Eleven minutes
of awkward conversation
punctuated by
many seconds of silence.

Two people searching
for an unknown
destination.

Two lives connected
by a double helix
of proteins
and genes.

Gloria called.

M got me a rice cooker for my bday, which I am excited about. I could live on rice. I had a cheapo microwavable rice cooker once, but it just kind of boiled the rice, making it somewhat slimey and gross. But real rice cookers make it all fluffy and…rice like.

I’m going back to bed until it is time to go to work.

I feel drained and I’ve nothing to warrant it.

my life would be a completely different story without the rice cooker. God bless rice cookers. Hey, now with leftovers you can make “flied lice”!! -bc

Wanred to stop bye and wish you a Happy Birthday! Love, Anne.

you’re a march 8th birthday too? happy belated bday! (thanks to womh)

I used to have a rice cooker. It was one of the things that got sold BY ACCIDENT in our auction when we moved from SD to MI… I had a couple of boxes–all my GOOD tupperware and my rice cooker, waffle iron etc. I labeled everything–what was to go what was to stay. They either made an oopsie, or someone just walked with the box. …which is possible. Bad, bad karma to that person! 😉
