Bang

Hello from the iPhone! Have I mentioned how much I love this little piece of technology? It’s so much fun! I have a hard time putting it down for very long.

Anywho. My birthday was amazing! Stan gave me my present when I got home from work, since it was 1am on my birthday. He spoiled me once again with a fancy new camera! And not just a regular point and shoot digital. This one has some manual settings I can customize myself. I told him I wanted to get more into photography as a hobby, and he listened. I haven’t read the entire manual, and have so far only utilized he auto-settings on it, but I’m excited to start experimenting soon. The pictures I HAVE taken with it are a lot better than the old camera, especially the night ones. Yay!

Later that day, my mom took me to lunch at Houston’s Steakhouse. And oh good Lord, was it scrumptious! I started with a cesar salad, followed by a main course of flat iron steak with chimmichurry (?) sauce and hand-cut fries. Dessert was a 5-nut brownie with ice cream and caramel sauce. Oh, my tummy was so happy! My mom also surprised me with a small black Coach purse, which turned out to be the perfect camera bag for later in the day. After lunch, I headed home to meet Stan.

Once Stan got home from work, which wasn’t long after I got back from mom’s, we headed out to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I took my new camera, because I wanted to test it on the Osbourne Dancing Lights. It took excellent pictures, as I said. It was a wonderful night. It was cold, and when they did the fake snow, it felt like it could actually be snowing. The lights were incredible, and I was there with my favorite person <3 I am truly a lucky girl. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday.

Ringing in the new year was a quiet affair. I had to work, but they closed at 7 thankfully. Stan made a nice dinner of steak and fries and yummy bread, and I made brownies for dessert. We used our fancy new place settings too! After dinner, we just watched TV and shared a kiss at midnight as the ball dropped. It was exactly what I wanted.

Sigh. Work is starting to get busy again, so I had better end this. Hope everyone’s 2010 is starting off well!
