Random

While I’m happy to annouce that my pride has bounced back and I can (almost) laugh at myself for slipping on the stairs, I wish I could report that my ankle was feeling as good. Unfortunately, it’s going to take awhile for this to heal. The bruises have only just started coming in (Stan referred to it as secondary bruising the other night. Um, did he become a doctor when I wasn’t looking? LOL), and everything from about the lower part of my shin down to the top of my foot is swollen. I should probably take picutes and post them. I can walk, but it’s a little painful, and obviously the more I do it, the worse it hurts. I’ve been keeping it wrapped in an ACE bandage, and elevating it on a box at work, and in the recliner at home. Amy wants to go shopping this weekend, and I told her I would ONLY if we get a wheelchair. I can’t hobble around the mall. But I refuse to stay cooped up indoors either.

Through much stalking on Facebook, I managed to secure Sarah-Bear’s cell phone number, and we’ve been exchanging witty (her) and semi-flirtatious (me) texts for the past week. I am sooooo glad to have a more instant way of connecting with her. I think our sleep schedules are completely opposite, but that’s alright. It just means I sometimes have something wonderful to wake up and read 😀 I’m hoping to get a chance to call her this weekend, even though I just KNOW that I will call the second she falls asleep :-

I also got to speak with Kaleigh the other night online. Not for long, but she told me her sister is pregnant again, and how upset she and her mom are. That girl (the sister) is totally irresponsible. She already gave up her son to Kaleigh’s mom, because she finally realized she couldn’t take care of him properly. Now she’s bringing another child into the world? God watch over that baby, because no one else will.

Work’s been crazier than usual this week. They’ve messed up the whole call centers schedules, and they’re taking forever to fix them. I saw today that they finally got my start and stop times right, but my lunch is wrong, they deleted the vacation time I was approved for in March and April, and they have me off on Mondays instead of Fridays. Idiots. They brought in this new system, because it’s supposed to be "sooo much better," but they essentially "fixed" something that wasn’t broken in the first place. *sigh* I wish the economy was better, because I think I need to move on. There’s almost no opportunity for me to grow in this company, and I’m sick of their corporate mindset.

Wow, this entry has been completely random. Well, that’s what you get when I write every couple of days 🙂 I think I’m going to go watch some TV, or finish the book I’m reading, or both. Aren’t I exciting?
