Before I get to the quiz, let me say…There was a reason why I didn’t get to switching the computers around…I needed the internet friendly one to get online and finish my quiz, since the ‘normal’ computer was having yet another one of it’s moments, and wouldn’t let me finish updating the quiz on it. So…without any furhter ado…My quiz and it’s results…

 
Mystic Mystics in the ancient world were shrouded in
mystery. They were looked upon with skepticism
and awe by the other memebers of the community.
Here was a person who saw the future and talked
to the dead. Mystics often lived apart from the
rest of the community, as not many people felt
comfortable around them. Mystics tapped into great power, thus commanding
respect and awe. Chieftains and kinds would
consult the mystic on affairs of state, on the
success of an invasion, or the best time to
conceive a son, on the outlook for next
season’s crops. Without the mystic, a
chieftain’s direct link to the devine was
severed and he or she would not know the best
way to appease or approach a god or goddess. The mystic was forced to see the world on both an
individualistic and a holistic level,
understanding the connection between the
actions of individuals and the structure of the
cosmos. Weavers of fate and manipulators of
fortune, mystics tapped into the universal
force of the godhood, of the earth and sky, and
of the elements – and they translated these for
humanity. Illusion was a major trait belonging
to the mystic. As with all metaphysical roles,
this path can be lonely as the mystic’s powers
are misunderstood and feared. However, it is
also a very satisfying path as the mystic is
allowed access to the secrets of the universe. In today’s world, mystics often quietly go about
their own business, never sharing their skills
of gifts with strangers. The person in the
cubicle next to you could be a mystic – you
never know. Unlike the healer, a mystic prefers
the wilderness of nature rather than the order
of a garden. Woods and forests are sanctuaries
for the mystic, as are ocean shorelines and
mountain tops. Mystics will gravitate to
"between-time places," where
opposites meet, order meets chaos, civilization
meets wilderness, and earth meets sky. Elementals, fairies, and spirits of the dead will
often be attracted to the energy of the mystic.
Mystics tend to keep to themselves adn do no
share their ideas freely. When drawn into
converstaion, their cmments are insightful, as
they have the ablity to look at a situation
from many diffrent viewpoints. Unlike the
priest or priestess, the mystic does not have a
stake in any organizational structure.
Therefore, the mystic tends to support new
ideas and new ways of doing things, while
cherishing the ways of times past. Some jobs
that mystics might hold are: philosophers,
scientists, owners of New Age shops, tarot card
readers, park rangers, perservationists, adn
museum curators.
