I just started using Swype on my Droid phone. It’s a very cool way of entering text, but it’s going to take some getting used to. It’s in beta currently. I also learned something about installing non_market apps on my phone. lol
I’m also thinking about vlogging again. I haven’t done that in a long time. You’ll be the first to know. 🙂
I used to enjoy your vlogs, even driving to work, etc. Fun stuff.

Do you know I actually prefer pressing the buttons? Even though I’m lightning speed on the Swipe?

is swipe an app that I can just download on my droid or is it software installed on the phone when you buy it? If it’s an app, I’m on my way to the app store! lol

Have you rooted it yet? 🙂

RYN: Android is basically Linux and rooting is literally unlocking the superuser (root) so you have complete control over the phone to do with it as you please. You can even flash on different ROMs or in my case I’ve flashed a custom ROM with tweaks to the interface, updated system apps, tweaks to the keyboard maps, changed the launcher, switched to a different kernel and I even have it set to UNDERclock the CPU when the screen turns off thus saving battery power 🙂 The possibilities are endless 🙂 The only real drawback is that it *probably* voids your warranty, but only if they know 🙂 For more info see: http://www.talkandroid.com/7686-what-is-rooting-and-why-should-i-do-it-the-pros-cons-of-android-rooting/ And then LOADS more info on the forums at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ (just find the section for your phone on that very long page!). But don’t do ANYTHING until you’ve read at least three times that it’s the right thing to do! 🙂

Swipe looks interesting. I’m still scared of touch screen phones. Like they will black out and I’ll be screwed or something. I am going to try to get one this year though. *hugz*

I used Swype for a while but I found it took longer than just sliding out my keyboard. Maybe when I get a phone that has no keyboard I’ll go back to using it.

If you haven’t already rooted your phone, do it. You’ll be happy you did because you’ll have so much more access to everything. My husband rooted my Motorola Cliq. It had Android 1.5 on it and we were able to put 2.1 on it. LOOOVE everything I have access to!
