Bad excuse for an entry…
Suddenly panicked that my diary was about to be deleted, and thought I should write something, even just a few sorry lines….
So what have I been up to that’s made me so lamentably lacking on my open diary?
– wedding planning (the underneath of our bed is now chock-full of church candles which we bought in the January sales)
– working (have been promised a pay-rise… we shall see…. and am slogging away for a meeting I’m organising on Monday. Hence why I’m still in work at five to eight on a Friday, which is generally considered to be a bit Bad and Wrong)
– writing (well, a bit. Not as much as I should be. I have written around 35,000 words about Lizzie and the weird and wonderful hotel. Only my real-life friend Anne, and my OD friend Fred have read it)
– eating (why do none of my clothes fit? Why? Why? Oh well. To cheer myself up I’ll have some more cheese)
– grumping (February is never good for me. Bring on the Spring, is what I say. Either that or bring on an overpriced light-box that will help me through this dark loneliness)
– singing (I’m in a concert of Bach’s Magnificat and Zadok the Priest later on this month. All good crowd-pleasing bellowers. Fantastic)
– laughing (I love my friends. And my workmates. We all laugh a lot. It’s the best medicine)

Oh god, what a marvelously ingenius idea. I am feeling v. depressed myself at the moment (wedding-related) and I was just planning on sitting here feeling sorry for myself, but now I think I’ll just steal your solution and go have some cheese 🙂

have not got to church candles under the bed yet, but wedding magazines are multiplying and taking over the house!! Always happy to read an update, no matter how infrequent (like I regularly write anyway!) but would also love to read more of the novel.
