We move house tomorrow, less than 24 hours in fact. We went to the house on new year’s eve and had a look round. They’ve already moved out. Turns out their solicitors told them we were demanding to complete on December 15th and they had about a week to get out. It was a blatent lie obviously. Solicitors are utter tossers. But we completed on January 9th and got our keys from the sellers the next day. (turns out the estate agent had gone under) They also very kindly gave us a dining table and 4 chairs and a double bed (for our spare room) as they were gonna chuck them otherwise. I’m gonna try and take some pics when we move tomorrow and then I can update them as we decorate. I can’t wait to move although I wish I could click my fingers and do it. It’s so tiring spending all evening packing. I had a respite last night for the Bookcrossing meet but Duncan did very little while I was out which means I’ve got loads to do tonight with no energy or inclination to do it.

There is no other real news in our lives at the moment, everything has revolved around the packing and moving. It’ll be nice to get my life back next week (or is that just wishful thinking? Am I going to spend the next few weeks unpacking? Probably) But I fully intend to have a day off at the least for my birthday next Sunday. Usually I get really stressed about my birthday coming up but not so much this year, probably through lack of time. I don’t think I’m gonna bother doing the whole friends thing, I don’t feel up to it and I’m barely drinking these days anyway. I think we’ll just have a nice quiet dinner out somewhere near to the new home, there’s a few decent places along the coast which I’d like to try. Hopefully funds will permit.

Short, but sweet. I shouldn’t be offline too long, I think they’re coming to do the broadband on Monday, so I’ll try and come back with pics next time.
